As I understand it, LH's "Calm Til Christmas" initiative involves trying to stay calm until, at least, Christmas.
The "Roses and Thorns" game involves going around the table at family dinner and telling about one good thing and one challenging thing about your day.
In the interests of staying calm and merging the themes, though, I think we will just go with telling something about your day - this involves both sharing (a la Roses and Thorns) but does not need to involve talking about anything bad (a la Staying Calm). Each day. From now until New Years (for those of you who don't celebrate Christmas). And by "now," I mean this coming Saturday, after everyone has had a chance to declare whether they are in or out.
I'm in! Who else???
Here's what a typical post could look like:
Tuesday, November 15, 2011:
Today, I read a very funny tweet (Twitter is kind of my go-to place for phone-it-in blogging challenge posts). It looked a little something like this:

Knowing as many teachers as I do, I can say with certainty that the dipshit who coined this phrase was almost certainly (1) a Republican; (2) someone who was born on third and thought he hit a triple; and (3) a moron.
Still, I thought the tweet was funny. Kind of like "when they ship styrofoam, what do they pack it in?"
I'm in although I think there will be some thorns with my roses.
ReplyDeleteWait I'm so in but I feel confused. I'll admit it, I'm confused! So the idea is to say something good and something bad, but not necessarily something bad?
ReplyDeleteI will do it. I will do it.
ReplyDeleteI heard about this challenge via the Internets, and I'm here to tell you that I'm in. I hope that some good things will happen related to my dissertation, but if not, I won't mention it.
ReplyDeleteGood job, Pronto. I'm excited about the challenge!
I'm so in. I've BEEN in!
ReplyDeleteLet us set forth together on this great blogging challenge adventure.
V. excited about this challenge. I just posted my first entry.
ReplyDeleteAck, a few days behind but I'm in and will catch up. Been waiting to be challenged! Otherwise I am so bad about keeping up on the blog. Julie (a local friend of LH)
